NAISA is governed by a constitution and by-laws that were adopted by those gathered at the association’s second organizing meeting at the University of Georgia, Athens, in April, 2008. The first election of association officers will take place before the 2009 Minneapolis meeting, and that election will be conducted by a nominations committee that was elected in Athens. Until that first elected council takes office at the end of the Minneapolis meeting, the steering committee that has led the effort to organize the association will be responsible for the business of NAISA.
